It is a great pleasure to be recognised and rewarded by the jury of this famous industry award. The celebration of achievement in Myanmar’s real estate industry took place on Thursday, 26 November with a virtual gala event and awards ceremony.

The Yoma Central project took home the title for Best Mixed-Use Development, Best Retail Development title and received high recommendation for Best Office Development category.

“We are honored to be recognised by such a prestigious committee as PropertyGuru Myanmar Property Awards. We won two awards and one distinction across 25 award categories, and this reinforces our growing footprint locally, where we continue to pioneer world class standards in construction, sustainability and management,” said Stephen Purvis, Head of Yoma Land. “In just over a year, Yoma Central will be re-energising Yangon’s high-street with premium selection of grade A offices, curated shopping, fine dining, hotels, hip bars and cafes.”

Introducing Yoma Central

Designed by prominent architect Cecil Balmond OBE, Yoma Central is an integrated development in the heart of Yangon, Myanmar. When completed, the project will combine The Peninsula Residences Yangon, two Grade A office towers, a Westin business hotel and serviced apartments. All of these properties will be connected by a retail podium that will be home to many luxury brands. The new development is anchored by the heritage Myanmar Railways Building restored into The Peninsula Yangon five-star hotel. In May 2019, Yoma Central obtained an Environmental Compliance Certificate from the Environment Conservation Department. Yoma Central and The Peninsula Yangon are expected to be completed in late 2022.
